The role in a nutshell:

We are in the process of building out our award winning web and investment management platforms and are looking to expand our team with an Agile Scrum Master. .

The Agile Scrum Master would have strong experience in delivering agile projects within an engineering team. The Agile Scrum Master will be an ambassador of agile process, its ceremonies and its continuous improvement. Focus is on achieving cadence and good discipline within a senior group of engineers.

We believe in autonomy and individuals carry responsibility for their work from inception to go-live. The Agile Scrum Master will maintain key communication flows, organize the team to achieve a consistent delivery flow and eliminate blockers to fully leverage team autonomy. The role will be fully embedded in a matrix-organised team working alongside Product, Ops and Marketing, will interact with people at all levels and report into the Head of Software Engineering and Delivery.


What your responsibilities will include:

  • Organisation and facilitation of key agile ceremonies for the team (standups, estimation, retrospectives etc.)
  • Validation of user stories for fitness-for-purpose to implement by the engineering team
  • Management of risks and removal of blockers
  • Safeguarding of team commitments and adherence to agreed scope
  • Communication of work progress, constraints and roadblocks to stakeholders
  • Participation in project planning, kick-off, requirements and progress update meetings
  • Agile process hygiene (e.g. continuous/frequent releases, constant flow/cadence, board hygiene)
  • Responsibility across multiple product/engineering verticals
  • Facilitation of user acceptance and sign-off sessions
  • Participation in technical meetings (planning/design/implementation)
  • Interaction with product managers, software engineers, tech leads and management across the organisation


The kind of person we want to work with has:

  • Excellent knowledge of iterative software development practices (Scrum and Kanban)
  • Strong experience on how to write good quality user stories including acceptance criteria
  • Strong appreciation of test automation and quality and how it is built as part of feature delivery; a strong advocate of test-driven development and relevant methodologies (e.g. BDD)
  • Experience in managing daily progress and flow in JIRA (or equivalent) and making full use of the system’s capabilities to report on progress
  • Strong focus on delivery metrics (such as estimates vs actuals, releases per day, velocity etc.)
  • Good understanding of technology to be able to converse with engineers in technical terms
  • Good communicator who can work in and alongside the entire delivery team to manage cross-project dependencies and preempt issues
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to operate across a number of parallel projects and activities
  • An engaging individual with fervor to foster strong relationships with teams and key stakeholders outside Engineering
  • Very enthusiastic about web front-end development and customer experience centric; equally strongly focused on operational efficiencies and process quality

The role in a nutshell:

We are in the process of building out our award-winning, multi-channel, investment management platform and are looking to expand our team with a Front End Engineer.

We run a pure AWS-based cloud environment and deliver features using a continuous delivery approach. Our continuous delivery capability means we are actively working on making sure our test infrastructure is as automated and reliable as possible. Our platform is built with a mixture of Java, Ruby, JavaScript and native mobile technologies.


What you’ll need to do:

  • Must be comfortable with HTML and CSS/CSS Pre-processors
  • Experience with ReactJS / Redux will be highly beneficial and any other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails will be highly beneficial but not essential
  • Solid experience with REST APIs and keen to dig deeper into the stack
  • Experience with building highly-scalable and well-performing web platforms
  • Delivery experience on cloud platforms and familiarity with AWS

What you’ll need to do:

  • Proven experience of building and managing continual automation / deployment / delivery environments.

  • Excellent systems and database experience, with an understanding of the challenges involved in designing and building distributed/microservice environments.

Overview of role:

We are looking for someone to provide professional, high quality, front line customer-focused support. You will be responsible for dealing with all customer queries in relation to our services, focusing primarily on customers who need help navigating our website or understanding how their money is invested. You will be delivering a service to meet the individual needs of all customers and wherever possible resolving queries at first point of contact, or finding the answer and getting back to the customer.


What you'll need to do:

As our CS Representative, your main responsibilities are to answer inbound enquiries using email, Nutmail, webchat and telephone from prospective and existing customers in relation to Nutmeg and its products and services.

You will need to take ownership for all enquiries that can’t be resolved immediately, giving customers updates regularly on progress to prevent repeat follow ups - logging all interactions efficiently via the customer contact logging software while taking an active role in talking customers through our proposition and seeing them through to conversion and the on boarding processes.

You’ll need to be proactive in acquiring knowledge from within the business and externally / from the industry to maintain an informed high quality customer experience. During your interaction with customers you will need to present in a mature, professional manner and really understand their needs and questions and at times empathise when things do not go as well as our customers had hoped - and escalating to management when needed.

Along with taking inbound enquiries, you will need to proactively make outbound calls to customers who have stalled during the sign up and on-boarding process - offering further assistance, providing additional information and asking if they have further queries.
