What you’ll need to do:

  • Help design, build, test and maintain our data management systems, making sure they meet business requirements and user needs
  • Deliver services that are automated, reliable and secure
  • Working closely with our data scientists, help them to develop the data services they need and help to industrialise their solutions
  • Recommend ways to improve data efficiency and reliability, understanding user issues around data definitions and schemas and proactively offer improvement plans
  • Provide a good understanding of data architecture, such that you can provide roadmap proposals for developments that will strengthen our commercial data systems

What we are looking for:

  • To join the team, you’ll need a Maths / Computer Science / Data Science degree or similar, from a strong academic background
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work in an agile, open, start-up environment
  • You’ll be the kind of person is comfortable working alone and as part of closely collaborative teams
  • An entrepreneurial mind-set. Figuring out how to improve business processes and find opportunities to apply data techniques to real problems is as exciting to you as solving them
  • A keen desire to research, develop and implement world-leading solutions to problems. We want you to go beyond the easy, obvious answers to find the best one possible and then figure out how to make it a reality

Experience required:

  • 2+ year’s industry OOP development experience
  • Programming skills in at least one of the following computer languages: Java, Python, Scala
  • Experience with some of: SQL, R, Python, AWS, Scala, or Machine Learning libraries / techniques
  • Experience of developing ETL/ELT processes, data integration strategies and approaches
  • Excellent understanding of data structures
  • Experience building data pipelines and schedules
  • Experience working with and developing using BI Tools (e.g Looker)
  • Basic knowledge of Bash
  • Experience in creating and maintaining analytics data warehousing and pipeline documentation
  • Knowledge of at least one data interactive visualization technique

What you’ll need to do:

  • Responsible for leading, developing and delivering the digital marketing plan to drive business critical ROI aligned to monthly targets
  • Responsible for strategic planning, management and development of digital channels
  • Will own execution and optimisation of PPC, social media, and display prospecting and retargeting campaigns
  • Responsible for campaign measurement, analysis and reporting, working closely with marketing, data science and finance teams
  • Ownership of digital marketing budget and effective budget deployment and pacing across all biddable channels
  • Responsible for delivery of key digital marketing KPIs from optimising paid and organic traffic to channel analysis and planning
  • Day to day management and implementation of digital campaigns, tracking and reporting
  • Work cross-functionally with digital agencies, teams and stakeholders across the business to plan and deliver on targets

What we are looking for:

  • Proven track-record of planning and executing digital marketing campaigns across PPC, social media channels, and display media prospecting and retargeting

What you’ll need to do:

  • Guide a group of engineers, and mentor/develop them as we migrate our front-end from Ruby to React
  • Managing delivery expectations in a cross-organisational team
  • Be a hands-on Tech Lead happy to program!
  • You will be putting together a highly scalable and performing web platform so prior experience in this is a must!
  • Use a broad range of past project experiences to overcome the challenges you will face in scaling out our platform

What we are looking for:

  • Proven ability to set technical direction and implement standards within an engineering group
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (quality practices and frameworks such as angular.js)
  • Experience with best practices in mobile design (human interface guidelines, threading, bandwidth considerations etc.)
  • Good understanding of device networking (security, protocols)
  • Must be comfortable with HTML and CSS
  • Strong experience with APIs and how the moving parts of a web application fit together
  • Strong knowledge of REST and messaging platforms
  • Delivery experience with building out cloud platforms and an appreciation for their failure modes, familiarity with AWS
  • Experience with Git or other similar distributed SCM systems

The role in a nutshell:

We are in the process of building out our award-winning, multi-channel, investment management platform and are looking to expand our team with a Front End Engineer.

We run a pure AWS-based cloud environment and deliver features using a continuous delivery approach. Our continuous delivery capability means we are actively working on making sure our test infrastructure is as automated and reliable as possible. Our platform is built with a mixture of Java, Ruby, JavaScript and native mobile technologies.


What you’ll need to do:

  • Must be comfortable with HTML and CSS/CSS Pre-processors
  • Experience with ReactJS / Redux will be highly beneficial and any other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails will be highly beneficial but not essential
  • Solid experience with REST APIs and keen to dig deeper into the stack
  • Experience with building highly-scalable and well-performing web platforms
  • Delivery experience on cloud platforms and familiarity with AWS
  • Experience with Git or other similar distributed SCM systems
  • Must know how to work on a *nix client environment (OS X, GNU/Linux) and be familiar with the terminal

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for looking after the heart of what makes Nutmeg the company it is. You’ll be heavily involved with all our technical infrastructure, from designing, monitoring and metrics through to building infrastructure and CI/CD tools.

Our team run a cutting-edge AWS-based environment, and want stay at the forefront of technical innovation. We need people who are passionate about technology and understand that testing and quality is the responsibility of the entire tech team and are equipped to take the lead and display their super powers by writing brilliant code and simply get stuff done at a fast pace.


What you’ll need to do:

  • Proven experience of building and managing continual automation / deployment / delivery environments.
  • Experience running infrastructures on cloud platforms, appreciation for their failure modes, and a good understanding of network concepts and fundamentals.
  • Excellent systems and database experience, with an understanding of the challenges involved in designing and building distributed/microservice environments.
  • Strong coding skills - especially in Go and Python.
  • Security focused, best practices, implementation
  • AWS, Mesos/Marathon, Docker, Terraform, Prometheus, Linkerd
  • 7+ years’ industry experience.
  • A willingness to learn new things and experiment with new technologies.
  • A passion for metrics and data-driven decision making.
