Chief Executive Officer
Martin joined Nutmeg in 2015. He has a range of experience running and jointly-running the P&Ls for a number of businesses in different categories. He joined Nutmeg from EDF Energy where he sat on the B2C Executive Team which oversaw the £3 billion highly-regulated retail business. At EDF Energy he led acquisition of new customers, customer retention, product and proposition development, digital sales and service, and all aspects of marketing. Prior to that, Martin spent seven years at Procter & Gamble, where he ran the UK Ariel franchise and took the brand to market leadership, and where he developed the launch of Oral-B toothpaste which achieved 25% market share in its first year. Martin was recognised with a Marketing Society Fellowship in 2013, and won the prestigious Marketing Society Awards for Excellence "Grand Prix" in 2015 for his work to turn-around the EDF Energy business.
Chief Investment Officer
Shaun joined in 2012 and is responsible for all aspects of Nutmeg's investment strategy. He is an acknowledged expert in the emerging world of digital wealth management, and in the use of ETFs. Shaun regularly discusses markets, business, consumer affairs and FinTech on the BBC, Sky News, Bloomberg and CNBC.
Shaun brings over 25 years of experience designing and managing multi-asset investment strategies for central banks, pension schemes, charities and high-net worth individuals. Before joining Nutmeg, Shaun was chief investment officer for six years at BDO Investment Management where he was in charge of the investment proposition for high-net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. Before BDO, Shaun was Senior Economist and Head of Research for Crown Agents Investment Management, part of the team managing global bond and equity portfolios for central banks, sovereign wealth funds, and public sector pension schemes.
Katie joined Nutmeg in June 2016 with over ten years’ experience managing products, acquisition and brands in leading financial institutions. Prior to joining Nutmeg, Katie was Director for UK Digital Acquisition with American Express in London, where Katie has also held a variety of other partner and product management roles. Katie also brings investment expertise from JP Morgan, where she worked both in the Investment Bank and the Private bank as Global Investment Advisor. A Harvard Business School MBA holder, Katie graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University in 2003 with a degree in political science, and a certificate in political economy.
Chief Operations Officer
Bill joined Nutmeg in 2014 and has been responsible for managing Nutmeg’s transition to its new operating model through 2014 and 2015, including defining the architecture and operations. Prior to Nutmeg, Bill spent 20 years working in the financial services sector, supporting a range of leading retail and wealth management organisations. He was Divisional Director, Wealth Management at Westpac Banking Corporation where he was a member of the Leadership team, responsible for managing the regulatory agenda and coordinating all activities between directors, regulators and staff. Bill also held various roles at Barclays Bank and has an MBA from INSEAD.
Chief Financial Officer
Tracy joined Nutmeg from Chemistdirect.co.uk where she was CFO, prior to which she spent three and a half years at Autotrader.co.uk as divisional finance director. With a French Studies degree from the University of Birmingham, Tracy spent seven years at Deloitte, becoming chartered while in the London Technology, Media and Telecoms audit team, before moving to Transaction Services to work on due diligence and AIM floats. Tracy’s digital experience includes a period at Net-a-Porter.com in the Strategy and Planning team as well as her senior roles at Autotrader.co.uk and Chemistdirect.co.uk. Tracy's remit at Nutmeg covers Finance, HR and Compliance.
Chief Technology Officer
Ewan has joined Nutmeg after spending the last decade working on low latency, high volume, scalable sports betting platforms. He has worked for Betfair, where he co-founded their primary overseas development centre, and held senior roles at Sporting Index. At Sporting Index he was instrumental, as CTO, in designing and growing their B2B business, Sporting Solutions. Ewan specialises in leading large teams to deliver sophisticated data solutions, and has built multiple award-winning technical development teams from the ground up.
